Omichi Seiyaku was established in 1905 in Osaka Prefecture and started production of various pharmaceutical products in Japan for many years.
Since 1958, we have developed specialty phosphorous compounds with the technologies accumulated in the early years for the wide applications in synthetic fibers, polymers, electronics appliances, IT equipment and automobile industries to be used as catalyst, stabilizing agent, various improver, and reducing agents.
To secure the resource of raw materials and intermediates to keep stable supply and competitiveness, we have been in contacts with overseas partners for many years.
Being a manufacturer of specialty products, our entire team keeps on making further efforts to provide new developments and manufacturing of specialty compounds to meet the needs of our customers. For which our Fukui factory plays an important role.

History
| 1905 | Foundation of the factory in Osaka Prefecture. Started production and sales of Hydrochloric acid, Sulfuric acid and Nitric acid that conforms to Japanese Pharmacopeia. |

| 1930 | Moved the factory to the current location in Osaka city. In addition to the pharmaceutical raw materials, started the first production of Calcium hypophosphite in Japan. |
| 1958 | Started production and sales of secondary phosphorous products such as Sodium hypophosphite, Phosphorous acid and Hypophosphorous acid To serve the needs if the customers in Synthetic resins, Metal surface treatment, Catalysts and pharmaceutical products. |
| 1973 | On request of Jiangsu Province, China, and former Shanghai Chemical Industry, started cooperation on Calcium hypophosphite providing production technology and obtained its sales right. |
| 1981 | Made Union Co., Ltd a wholly owned subsidiary. |
| 1988 | Established Speciality Phosphates Malaysia as a joint venture to produce specialty phosphates. with Albright & Wilson UK Ltd (transferred to Nylex Specialty Phosphates Malaysia as of today) Production technology and sales rights belong to Omichi entirely. |
| 1990 | Made Pax Co., Ltd a wholly owned subsidiary. |
| 1991 | Established Fukui Factory in Technoport Fukui, a new factory to enhance production capacity. |
| 2005 | 100th anniversary of the company. |
| 2008 | Obtained ISO 9001 certificate. |
| 2013 | Construction of new warehouse at Fukui factory to ensure stable supply. |
| 2015 | Obtained ISO 14001 certificate. |
